The 138-year-old Swiss brand also plays an integral part in the developing era of watchmaking with its unique collections.

Breitling manufactures its own movements in-house and the quality of every watch is confirmed by its status as a COSC-certified chronometer, made in Switzerland.

Breitling’s aim for life-changing complications

Unsatisfied with basic watch movements, 24-year-old Breitling from Saint-Imier, Switzerland has always dreamed of creating unique chronometers. Apart from manufacturing timepieces for collectors, the brand founder also wants to contribute his knowledge to both science and technology with Breitling’s pioneering watches. Since the dawn of Breitling, many complications have been created to justify the brand’s philosophy.

In the 1900s, shortly after its debut, Breitling watches were already equipped with split-seconds chronograph – which measures two actions happening at the same time.

In this day and age, Breitling is known for exquisite collections such as Navitimer, Chronomat, SuperOcean and Endurance. Some models have even accompanied pilots during wars, or have aided many explorers. Typically, the Emergency model once saved a pilot's life thanks to its ability to signal at the international rescue frequency of 121.5 MHz.

Furthermore, Breitling's Cosmonaute model is also the first Swiss watch to fly into space, as a trustworthy companion of the legendary astronaut Scott Carpenter and the Mercury Seven team from NASA. With the signature Slide Rule feature, Cosmonaute has helped astronauts perform multiplication, division, unit conversion, and fuel consumption calculations to ensure correct flight.

The new boutique features its customers a casual, stylish, modern-retro ambience. The brand’s three “universes”, air, sea, and land (the environments for which Breitling’s watch families were developed), are reflected in the decor, which includes aircraft-inspired elements, surfboards, and vintage motorcycles. Relaxed watch bars and lounge areas invite visitors to explore the timepieces in comfort and at their own pace.

Breitling boutique furniture applies rough materials and mixes them in a variety of ways, creating intimacy, coziness and a classic space. Brick, wood, leather and steel are interwoven throughout the floors and areas, both honoring the historic legacy left by the Breitling family in watchmaking and moving towards a new concept of casual luxury - when the Luxury is "simplified" to become intimate and comfortable.
